Twenty Tails

Twenty Tails: Animal Stories from Around the World brings together twenty engaging animal tales from folktale traditions across ten countries and nine states of India, thoughtfully retold for readers aged twelve and above.

Richly illustrated with vibrant colour drawings—many by Parag himself—the book also features a playful cover designed by the author. To be published in January 2026 by Bhabani Books, it is the inaugural title in a new folktale series.

চেঁকুৰি ফুৰা একুৰি সাধু

For this Assamese edition, Parag recasts the twenty animal stories afresh in natural, idiomatic Assamese. Instead of translating the English tales, he independently retells the same source narratives, shaped to suit the linguistic, cultural, and idiomatic richness of Assamese.

Richly illustrated with the same colour drawings as in the English edition, Sekuri Fura Ekuri Xadhu shall be first published in January 2026 by Bhabani Books, together with the English edition.
